Interloc Racing Design Chains are available in (from the top down) Pro, Elite, and Sport grades to suit your riding style and performance needs. IRD chains are fully compatible with Shimano, SRAM, and newer Campy drivetrains. The Black Lightning Teflon-impregnated model is also available.
Doc's Product Notes: Interloc Racing Design has one of the best engineered multi speed chains on the market. It's unique inside and outside chamfers allow for very quick and smooth shifting, reduced overshifting, and dependable shifts on inclines. The additional features of high tensile strength and a Snap Link which allows installation with out tools (you still need a tool to shorten it) make it an even better product. The Black Lightning Teflon-impregnated chains are on our Texas Trail Dust Cycling Project Bikes.
Interloc Racing Design's Scandium Race Frame
Doc's Product Notes: This bike is light, fast, and rides and handles well. The frame set includes Columbus Carve wishbone carbon seatstays, and a lightweight carbon steerer / carbon fork. The frame and fork weigh only 2.55 lbs. The quality is high and the price reasonable. A frame set and a full Shimano Ultegra build kit retail for about $2000.00.
I love to tinker and am attempting to build a comfortable sub-18lb road bike for a retail price of less than $2500. Keep checking back as updates will be posted.
