Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Texas Trail Dust Cycling (TTDC)?

Texas Trail Dust Cycling is a division of The Yeager Group, a ministry and education consulting firm. You can learn more about us than you likely care if you visit TheYeagerGroup.com. We have had the time to rediscover cycling since our children are now old enough to ride. In particular, we enjoy the family togetherness that one can enjoy with cycling and camping.

What are TTDC's goals as a business?

Our primary goal is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ in all our business practices. Our secondary goal is to promote high-tech cycling in North Texas with personal service and competitive pricing. Any profits are (1) put back into TTDC, (2) used to support our marriage and family ministries, and (3) used to supplement our family's outdoor recreational activities. We are all terrain bicycle (ATB) enthusiasts and our goal is to promote high-tech cycling with personal service and competitive pricing. Texas Trail Dust Cycling desires to have a "hometown" bike shop presence on the Internet with down-to-earth charm and personal service.

Why a limited product line?

We proudly represent the product lines we carry and highlight. We research the companies we represent carefully. First and foremost they have to be innovative. No "also rans" here at TTDC. Second, we give preference to companies with corporate philosophies that are Christian or at least "family friendly". Having a limited product line allows us to know the products far better than the profit driven mega.coms that are so prevalent on the web. We have personal experience and have been "impressed with" the product lines and manufactures that we highlight in this website. I have been a cycling and classic car buff for over three decades and have built and rebuilt several of both. Any advice given to you, the customer, is solidly grounded in personal experience. As time goes on and business expands, we expect to expand our product offerings, but only if we can keep our prices low and our service personal.

Why doesn't TTDC take credit cards directly?

To accomplish our corporate goals we have kept our startup costs and expenses to a minimum. As our business grows, we will likely begin taking credit cards. At this point we can offer lower prices and better service by not taking credit cards directly. I think you will be surprised by the swiftness of service that can be accomplished by email and a personal check or the PayPal service. We would like to make sure you are purchasing a product you need by consulting with us first. This is of particular importance when purchasing Kestrel cycles as they are custom configured. You will be rewarded by personal service and great prices by choosing TTDC.

Why does TTDC prefer to communicate via email?

To accomplish our corporate goals we keep expenses to a minimum. The expense of returned phone calls and toll-free numbers would have to be passed on to you, our customer, in the form of higher prices. Additionally, TTDC is only one of the activities we are involved with and as such we are almost impossible to catch on the phone. E-mail is the easiest and most direct method of contacting us.

Why Texas Trail Dust Cycling?

As ATB enthusiasts in northeast Texas we ride many of the local trails. When we come back to the car; we and our cycles are covered in, you guessed it, Texas trail dust.

Who is Doc?

I have a research based Doctorate of Education. Additionally, my real job is Director of Technology for a small rural Texas school district. Our Vocational Agriculture instructor first started calling me Doc. Some of the high school coaching staff soon did likewise. The rest is, as they say, history.

Where can I learn more about the Yeager family?

What local trails and rides do you go to?

This really varies depending on the amount of time I have. Often I can be found on the rural oads of northeastern Hunt County in Texas. Look for the Texas Trail Dust Cycling Trailer or the Sport 'Scort Wagon at Northeast Texas trails and events and say hello if you have a chance.

Have a little patience as we grow and Texas Trail Dust Cycling will reward you with personal service and great prices! Thank you for taking the time to investigate Texas Trail Dust Cycling further and may God richly bless you.
