Trip Report: December 24, 2007-January 1, 2008 --
During the Christmas vacation we checked in to the Bronson Meadows Wyndham Vacation Resort in Branson, Missouri where my parents have a membership. We spent Christmas week with Joleen's and my folks playing cards and attending a variety of local activities. Victoria got the opportunity to drive in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri. She learned a valuable lesson about blind spots during a lane change maneuver on IH 550 south of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
We spent most of the time just relaxing at the condo and playing cards. We did get out and go do a few things.
We all attended a dinner show on the Showboat Branson Belle. Joleen, the kids, and I went shopping the day after Christmas and had lunch at the El Portal Mexican Restaurant in Branson, Missouri. We met up with the folks and went to the Branson Meadows Cinemas to see "Enchanted". The movie was thoroughly enjoyable by the way.
Joleen and I got away on our wedding aniversary for dinner at Landry's Seafood House in Branson. On the way home Joleen, the kids, and I had lunch at Ables' Bar-B-Que and Steak House in Antlers, Oklahoma
The trip to Branson consisted of a variety of rural travel.. The weather was very pleasant, calm, and sunny, but clod. Fuel mileage per fill-up for the Escort was in the low to mid 30s.
